Rolo Posted October 15, 2008 Share #61 Posted October 15, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) It's not the medium you use, it the end result that counts. For most on this Forum and many others, I suspect it's the participation that matters more than the absolute results. Photography is a multi-faceted activity and testing the results would be no measure of the level of most people's enjoyment derived. IMO. IMO. Rolo Even those who achieve lasting fame for their end results do often practise the art for pleasure or maybe just some fascination in the whole process. Winogrand left behind nearly 300,000 unedited images, and more than 2,500 undeveloped rolls of film.
giordano Posted October 15, 2008 Share #63 Posted October 15, 2008 Winogrand left behind nearly 300,000 unedited images, and more than 2,500 undeveloped rolls of film. Clearly an exponent of the George Bernard Shaw school of photography.
KM-25 Posted October 16, 2008 Share #64 Posted October 16, 2008 With some hesitation and regret, I sold my M8 yesterday to a fine young documentary shooter. Maybe by the time Kodachrome is gone, Leica will have a digital M that does not require IR/cut filters and is nearly full frame. But for now, it is 100% Kodachrome in my 3 film M's.
