Go for one of the Epson pro series. You might want to wait a bit as they will be introducing a new line soon. At the same time there may be bargains on the current models. They are awesome printers and great value. However, the thing that really stands out about Epson is their customer support, especially if you are considering Canon or HP.

Epsons are excellent printers but I have to speak up for HP here. I have Photosmart Pro B9180 and when I got it, I also got the HP CarePack for it. Support couldn't be better. My printer came down with the dreaded "Service Stall" problem and HP Customer Support overnighted me a replacement printer. This one was damaged in shipment so they overnighted a second one without blinking. That, my friend, is Pro level support. The CarePack was only $75 for 3 years.

I also have a HP B9180 and the prints I get from it are just stunning. I also have the Pro/complete care NBD replacement 3 year extended warranty (although mine only cost $35, bought it before HP raised the price) and I must say I have needed it. I'm on my 5th B9180 as they just seem to fail for one reason or another and I don't use it that much. But if I was in the market for a new printer I'd buy another B9180 (With the extended warranty). Hp support has been very good. With the last replacement printer they sent me a brand new one.
