OK I konw it's not a Leica but probably the best enlarger ever made and I use it for my Leica negatives. Feel free to post this link anywhere you think it will be appreciated. I don't know how long this will stay on the free host I used so feel free to rip as well.

 

I couldn't find instructions with pictures on how to align one of these, so while giving it a service and painting I took some and did a small web page.

Thanks for the info. Mine is the 504 bench model. It's about the only enlarger I've used where I can focus with a grain magnifier and not strain my arm and shoulder muscles.

Well that was worth doing then, is the baseboard adjustable on yours? If so, how?

With the floor stander you can drop the baseboard to a few inches above the floor and still focus/move head for those extra big enlargements, about 20x30 with a 60mm lens. Funny lying on the floor to do it though.

Now that you have perfect alignment, you need to figure how to get a flat negative.

 

I recommend at least a one side (top) glass carrier for 35mm. Two side glass for 120 and up.

If the top glass is thick there is only one more surface to clean as the top of the glass will be out of focus.
