Oh that’s sad, anyways try Smilebooks.com - it helps you to create creative photo books with a variety of background and color options. My friend has tried it and we are really impressed with the quality and the resolution of images they have provided. In few days, I am going to get the album I ordered.

Now I found out why I could not understand all the posts about SharedInk - Turn your free online photo albums into books (great gift ideas!) ,

evidently there is a whole seperate program for professional photographers, that is not even mentioned on their web page.

I had to google around a few times to even find mention of it. I hope that after I am accepted, and am able to access the site, I will find the new site better suited to my needs than their standasrd book publishing site.

These people need to learn something about marketing...

I know this thread is old but people still find SharedInk from here. Our website is now focused on professional photographers, I agree it was a long time coming.

You can now go to the SharedInk home page (www.sharedink.com) and you'll get direct access to all our pro quality books and six color printing.

Keep in mind that there is more to a book than the quality of the printing and paper. A stitched binding and a nice hard cover will make your book a work of art. There is nothing more frustrating than having the pages fall out of your book after a few months of enjoyment.

I can vouch for the quality of books and printing done by these folks Fine Art Paper, Canvas, Inkjet Supplies, Custom ICC Profiles, Fine Art Metals, Digital Portfolios - Booksmart Studio

They are not cheap but the quality is top notch. They do give discounts to ASMP members.

You might want to read Popular Photography Nov. 2010 p.68 where they compare 10 main photo book options available then. The top three with 4 stars out of 5:

Aperture

Kodak

MyPublisher

It's not a bad article and they used 10 of their staff to get 10 different photo books. The rating chart is a good summary.

I made a 98 page photo book with MyPublisher last year, and was very pleased with it. The option of binding that allows the pages to open fully and flat is great. Quality of the photos was good, I think I could have done a better job in preparing them and had a better result, but it was about as expected for a first attempt. The paper quality seems very good. Shipping was fast, packaging was great, I still am amazed that y can do this and have it in your hands days later. They have very frequent offers as well with 40-50% discounts. I read a lot of reviews, and they seemed like a good value/quality option.
