I looked at the optical design and the lens has 10 elements in 9 groups. If you compare this to the Leica Summilux-R at Leica Camera AG - Photography - LEICA SUMMILUX-R 50 mm f/1.4, the digital Leica lens has more elements than the 8 elements in 7 groups that the R version has. So the question is: 1) How much "Leica" is in the digital D primes we will be seeing? Optical design input? Why ED glass in the digital version but not the R version? 2) Based on the MTF charts how good will this D version prime act? Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
