jlancasterd Posted August 14, 2008 Share #1 Posted August 14, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Can anyone help with an estimate of the value of a Leica model 1 (No.412) fitted with an original 50mm f3.5 Elmax lens? A friend has had it come into his possession and isn't sure whether to sell it privately - he's been offered £6,000 ($12,000) - or send it to auction. Sorry - I can't post pictures at the moment as I haven't actually seen it myself.

thrid Posted December 26, 2008 Share #6 Posted December 26, 2008 Have you considered talking to Westlicht auction house?
andybarton Posted December 26, 2008 Share #7 Posted December 26, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I think the one on eBay, from David Stephens, may have sold - the buyer's name has been withheld. David's prices are usually very fair, and definitely lower than Westlicht. A similar one there went for €13,000 recently, apparently.
