V.Storaro Posted July 31, 2008 Share #1 Posted July 31, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am considering switching to a memory card of higher capacity than the 4G SDHC card (class 6) I'm using for my DLux3. Recently I found out that a 16G class 6 SDHC is available on the market. I wonder if DLux3 could accomodate a card as big as 16G. I back up my raw files regularly so there is no danger of loosing all 16G photos all at once. I need a big card so I can store all my photos in a single card and run a slide show of this project whenever I have my DLux3 with me. Thanks. While I do not have any specific info about your camera, if it's able to use an SDHC card, my understanding is that it can use any size of it, at least up to 32Gb, which is the maximum capacity officially defined by the SD-HC (SD 2.0) standard. My only recommendation is to buy from a reputable seller as there are quite a few faked cards around, which of course can raise compatibility issues in use. Btw a few 32Gb SD-HC are also available on the market, though prices are still rather steep for this size at the moment. Hope this helps.
dfarkas Posted August 2, 2008 Share #3 Posted August 2, 2008 Transcend 16GB SDHC Class 6 cards work fine in the D-Lux 3. We've sold a lot of D-Lux 3s with 4, 8 and 16GB Transcends with zero problems reported by our customers. David
