I recently purchased a Digilux 3 and received software disk “Leica Digital Camera Software V5.0” ; English, languages Italiano, Espanol. On the envelope for the disk, it specifically says the software is for Windows XP.

My computer Operating System is Microsoft “Vista Home Premium” ; 64 bit.

When I attempt to load the disk, I receive a message saying there are “Known Incompatibility Problems” so I stopped loading.

Can anyone offer a solution so I can sucessfully load D3 software.

What are you hoping to use the software for? I believe it contains only a copy of Photoshop Elements, and perhaps some sort of program for shooting the camera whilst tethered to your computer. If you own Photoshop already or some other image editor, you really don't need to bother with the Leica software CD. There's also lots of options available on the internet for free/limited cost RAW conversion and/or image management.

I for one have never installed Leica's software, since I own a full version of Photoshop, as well as Aperture (a Mac only photo organizer, raw converter, and editor).

Jeff.
