Findus Posted September 23, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 23, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Seeing that I ordered an M8 without any pre-knowledge what so ever I was eager to read the review in LFI. I must say it was a great dissapointment, the pictures printed totally lacked the leica look which I am so accustomed to, they look like... well digital pictures, not a surprise seeing that it's a digital camera, but, BUT where is the OOF gone ? for my part these pictures could of been taken with a D70 or any other above market average digital camera. Let's hope the photog. had a bad day. Also the picture posted here on the forum.... well looks like a pic taken with a japanese consumer camera.... Knowing that the proof comes with the pudding I will wait until I virtually slash my wrists... but my gut feeling ain't good on this one. Sure the pictures are OK but we are chatting about a 4000$ camera here ........ phew....

pascal_meheut Posted September 23, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 23, 2006 I don't ever check or re-read my posts. Mistakes I put down to bad data-transfer, unkindness or other unpleasurables I directly put down to "my time of the month... sorry" Is that why you posted this one 2 times? Dan States Posted September 23, 2006 Share #3 Posted September 23, 2006 I've created loads of rubbish with my Leica, Hasselblad and nearly anything you can imagine. No equipment can make up for the human factor. Point of fact is: If you are buying an M8 because you think it will always look better than anything else out there you are in for the same disapointment Leica users have felt through the ages. Of course there are the folks who like their rubbish to be really really sharp and clear....
