Guest darkstar2004 Posted July 28, 2008 Share #21 Posted July 28, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I absolutely agree, especially with the last sentence. Since when did creativity end with the choice of emulsion when filters have always been available and especially since having the option to work with digital files post capture? You are right - film choice is not the last stop, especially if you are making scans & inkjet prints from your transparencies. I use Velvia and have my favorite images scanned and printed. My preferecnce is to use Velvia and to keep photoshop meddling to an absolute mininum by doing all I can pre-exposure to get the image I want. That's just the way I like to work. Others may like to work in different ways.

kenneth Posted August 1, 2008 Share #22 Posted August 1, 2008 I am hiking in the Alps in September. Does anyone have any recommendations for color slide or negative film for mountain landscapes? If I use slide film should I use one that has a warm balance? I will using an MP with a 35mm lens and either a 50mm or a 90mm lens. Thanks for any suggestions. I always used Agfa CT18 in the Alps and Kodachrome 25ASA in the UK
