jonathangraham Posted September 23, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 23, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) m7/50 elmar A day or two before the snow began last week. Think a UV filter or something necessary at this altitute (about 10,000 feet). Damn, I wish the M8 were with me so no surprises a week later.

lambroving Posted September 23, 2006 Share #3 Posted September 23, 2006 An M8 ain't going to help you with this unless you are viewing on a lap top. I use a UVa frequently, especially outdoors, but above 7,500 it's essential. With a UVa on color film that sky would be a deep blue and +12,000' it's blue-black. What film is this? Could you use a yellow filter? Do I see motion blur here or is your focus off? Did you meter her face primarily with the M7? How was this scanned? Too many variables to give you a definitive answer, but something is definitely off. An M8 ain't going to fix that. (BTW, many years of experience in CO at 8.500' - 13,200'.)
