andym911 Posted July 20, 2008 Share #1 Posted July 20, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear all, Can anyone inform me as to the rarity of this lens.My research shows that about 1000 were produced, is this correct? Also regarding the pricing does anyone have any 'feeling' as to what todays market value is in Europe?I know that pricing is always a tough one but any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks in advance for any info Regards Andy

bill Posted July 20, 2008 Share #2 Posted July 20, 2008 Hi Andy, not sure if this is what you mean, but MW have one for £1050.00. MW Classic Cameras 9th from the top. They have had it listed for a few weeks. Does this help? Regards, Bill
fuchs Posted July 23, 2008 Share #3 Posted July 23, 2008 Hi Andy, there's the one bill pointed you to and there's the classic one (equivalent to the 2nd version M lens). The first is a special edition of the current 4th version 50/2 M lens issued during the late 1990's (1999?) The latter, of much more interest to collectors, is the 2nd version of the late 1950's. Its optical formula is the same as the one found in the rigid M lens and in the Dual Range Summicron. Price range in EU circa Euro 1300-2000, depending on dealer and condition.
