schmelli Posted July 19, 2008 Share #1 Posted July 19, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone, I just wanted to leave a strong recommendation for a framer in New York. If you really want to have your prints professionally and highly affordable taken care of, you might want to visit Galleria on Third (529 3rd Avenue, between 35th and 36th street)... The owner Shadin is not only a master in the art of framing, but he will also make you more than reasonable prices and can be really quick, too, if you need something done really urgently! I just paid 100 US$ per piece for some 11x17 prints, which he gave an acid-free back and framed in a handmade set of beautiful black wooden frames. In many Soho galleria framings you'd probably start at about double that price... Recommended? Absolutely! Also, Shadin regularly holds beneficial auctions in his shop, where he sells prints donated by his customers that he frames for free and gives the money to children - which makes him a nice guy in today's world I guess... So if you happen to have some spare prints that might sell for a good cause just pay him a visit and he will take good care of them. Take care and best regards from New York Jyn
