proenca Posted July 12, 2008 Share #1 Posted July 12, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi there, Im looking to print some standards size and some bigger - but I will print ( missus demands and mother in law.... ) around 400/600 prints. So I need an online printing service in the UK ( or Europe / USA which would ship ) that is decently priced but with good quality - ideas ? The one that seems to meet my demands is photobox.co.uk - anyone used them ? Cheers ps : My M8 is fine and no complaints. Well she surely has a few from the photographer ... Upload on a Sunday night, they email you one hour later to say that the prints have shipped and you get them Tuesday morning.
gravastar Posted July 12, 2008 Share #3 Posted July 12, 2008 Photobox? I use them all the time. Their service, prices and quality are all excellent. Upload on a Sunday night, they email you one hour later to say that the prints have shipped and you get them Tuesday morning. Or upload files Monday afternoon and receive prints by first class post early Tuesday morning. Color consistency is good - I've reordered prints after 15 months and the match is excellent. Paper for the smaller/medium sizes is Fuji Crystal Archive, larger is Agfa. I have profiles for their Fuji Frontier and Polieletronica printers that I downloaded from a US site a couple of years ago. Unfortunately that site now only has free profiles for printers used by Costco. Technical Information | Photobox - PhotoBox They only accept jpegs so you have to convert to srgb color space, but you can upload very hi res files with no additional compression. Bob. simon8202 Posted July 13, 2008 Share #4 Posted July 13, 2008 yes photobox are superb and reliable! If you're wanting 600 prints you can upload by FTP or send them a disc in the post - you'll still get them back in a couple of days. I've used them for prints of all sizes as well as canvas mount prints - never ever had a problem with any of their products! Simon
