Real world photo journal situations are being experienced worldwide, some using the M8. A difference with Michael Kamber might be that he was working with the wrong camera for his environment and skills combination. He nailed certain well documented faults with the camera which raises the question of why he chose to work with it in the given situation. He also failed to fairly indicate it's virtues which leads one to suspect his impartiality.

This info is nothing new. We have all experienced similiar issues. I myself sold my 2 M8's and will wait till the new model comes out M9 etc...

Till then the D-Lux 3 and G9 and some others will suffice......

In an imperfect world you could also just live with the wart ridden M8 - even with all its flaws it is still better than most camera's out there. A strained but still happy marriage.

I was not aware that the D-lux 3 or G9 even came close (in fact they cannot possibly).
