sfage Posted September 26, 2006 Share #29 Posted September 26, 2006 I don't take pictures of people but I can understand why many do. The human body is a remarkable feat of engineering. I remember the Olympics in Australia. I was watching an aboriginal woman -a real champion- running as the automated video cameras followed her running down the pitch. I was awestruck by the grace, beauty and sheer power of her body. I can tell you with sincere honesty, I was quite emotional when I saw that. I am sorry that I can't remember her name but watching her run was a stunning thing to witness.

vic vic Posted September 26, 2006 Author Share #31 Posted September 26, 2006 ivan - u mean edward weston??? cathy freeman - kelly holmes, marion jones, jana bloch etc etc ... those are on the woman part only.. man part has its diamonds too in athletics :-))) shene, ya - with freeman i was exited too i rememver it very well too. man, beleive me, if the carreer of my model in those photos have been developed as expected there in russia - u would probably know her name as another cath freeman kelly holmes (uk, 800, 1500 champ in greece). u see some amazing and most elite elegance in her too. even today at her 34. when she was a performer some years ago, i remember her too. she was training in the same stadium. the beauty u talk about, is a kind of combination of.... beautiful human body (of athletic style of course in those cases), superior beautiful technique of "motion", the mental and physical power, and the realization that we talk here about the edges of human ablilities :-))) at least this is the way i can explain the beauty of athletics and the xitmnet to see it. and besides - since i was doing athletics myself, i have great attachment with it of course. ha ha - i really would like to photograph somebody who runs like sebastian coe (great brit - 800, 1500 too).
