marten.vangelderen Posted June 28, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 28, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently acquired a second hand Fisheye-Elmarit-R 2.8/16mm. Does anybody know if it is normal that the filter turret shows some stiffer resistance when sliding the 1A and 80B filters in and out the optical path, whereas the O56 and Y48 filters slide into position without any marked difference when compared to the free play in between the filters. Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
Advertisement Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Hi marten.vangelderen, Take a look here Fisheye-Elmarit-R 2.8/16mm. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sabears Posted June 28, 2008 Share #2 Posted June 28, 2008 Hi,no,it's not normal,I had the lens and the changing filters resistance was the same. But these are not always perfect lenses, sometimes even a new one shows defects. Is this an original east one with cyrillic characters or the west version? I ask this because the version for the west market seems much better (more control)- Cheers
marten.vangelderen Posted June 29, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted June 29, 2008 Thanks for the reply. I think it is the west version; cannot see any cyrillic character on the lens. I will contact the seller to see what he has to say. Actually, it might not be much of a problem, because the filters do indeed slide properly into position. It's only that the two (1A and 80B) take a little bit more effort than the other two, while turning the ring.
