Advertisement Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Hi graeme_hutton, Take a look here 48mm UV/IR Filter for Elmarit 28mm & M8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ho_co Posted June 25, 2008 Share #2 Posted June 25, 2008 Graeme-- It's not offered by Leica, as you know. A B+W 486 should do just fine. I'm in the US and can't direct you to a UK stockist; I just ordered the same item from Willkommen bei Foto Huppert, a company which has received good reviews on the forum. Otherwise, I'm sure others will chime in with closer-to-home information!

(There was a time when B+W changed their UK distributor, and their stuff was a bit difficult to get for a bit, but Robert White always seemed to be able to get it.) graeme_hutton Posted June 26, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted June 26, 2008 OOoops!......Thanks all but my lens arrived today and it's actually a 46mm thread. Sorry for wasting folks time on this. Is it a newer lens then? Regards Graeme
ho_co Posted June 26, 2008 Share #5 Posted June 26, 2008 Double-oops! I'll need to check my lens. I think it's the same as yours, and I've ordered a 48mm filter. Thanks for the update! I may be headed back to square one--but the discussion has been fun in these two threads, n'est-ce pas?
