roguewave Posted June 24, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 24, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have rediscovered the pleasure of my D3. I have been playing with the settings to get more control in Manual mode. Here's my question: 1) What are the best overall settings people use in Manual modes? What are the various ways to set exposure compensation with the wheel, while maintaining manual control over both Aperture & Shutter. Stuart's question to me about this prompted my re-thinking how I do it and if others have a system, I'd like to learn it. Thanks, Ben

rsolomon Posted June 28, 2008 Share #2 Posted June 28, 2008 Ben, i use all of my R lenses on my Digilux 3, i also use the kit lens. i prefer the R-lenses.... just produces better images in my opinion. When you say "manual mode" im not sure what you're reffering to outside of controlling shutter speed and apteure....and yes the wheel controls exposure compensation. remember the viewfinder is presenting working apeture. my basic mode of operation is apeture priority (ie shutter speed in A) Rich
