octo900 Posted June 3, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 3, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi there, I'm new to Leica and have just got a D Lux 3. I'm really enjoying the camera but one thing I find disconcerting is that the flash on the D Lux 3 is very harsh. Whenever I use it it is either very unflattering on subjects, or so bright it overexposes. Is anyone else having this problem? Are there any solutions to it? I'm quite tempted to just tape a little square of diffusion over that flash! All answers appreciated, Thanks Olly
Advertisement Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Hi octo900, Take a look here D Lux 3 - FLASH ISSUES. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jon-Luke Posted June 3, 2008 Share #2 Posted June 3, 2008 You can adjust the intensity of the flash. (Flash output adjustment) see top of page 46 of the D-LUX 3 manual.
bill Posted June 3, 2008 Share #3 Posted June 3, 2008 Mine is permanently set to underexpose by 2/3 stop. This gives a much more "natural" effect. Regards, Bill
