Venkman Posted May 28, 2008 Share #1 Posted May 28, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) The Epson R2880 has been announced (maybe old news, but not for me). Only 8 inks, "UltraChrome-K3-Vivid Magenta" and new LUT allows for 85% coverage of the Pantone color scale (whatever that might mean). It's supposed to have the reproducable color space expaneded, especially in the highly saturated magenta (good for M8 ) and blue tones. Further, it's supposed to provide neutral greys without metamerism. The driver has an added b/w functionality with curves which allows to adjust for warmer/neutral/cool tones. Those curves can be saved and even passed on to other users. Printer can do full bleed A3 with max media thickness of 1.3 mm . Price: Euro 800.- All freely translated from a newsbit, so don't kill the messenger.
