seldomseen Posted May 25, 2008 Share #1 Posted May 25, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) First I have a V-LUX-1, and just wondering if there is a way to put an adapter for a spotting scope on this camera. Also being not that computer friendly how or with what program or programs can I open the RAW files, I have not been able to do this. Thanks Ted

Also being not that computer friendly how or with what program or programs can I open the RAW files, I have not been able to do this. Thanks Ted Sorry, cannot help you with the s/scope question, but maybe a bit for raw files. I don't have your camera so I do not know what's in the box for raw developing, but anyway you could try Silkypix which supports the full Leica range, V-Lux 1 included. One of the best raw converters around, it's a pure converter, no asset management in Lightroom style. On their site (http://www.silkypix.com) besides the trial, there's also a free version you can download, which is a bit crippled of course but pretty good with all the basic functions. The interface used to a bit quirky in the past, mostly because of their English translation, but the last version has been completely reworked and greatly improved on this side too. I've been using it for a couple years now, and is the next best thing to my RSP of old, imo even better in results. Hope this helps.
