Advertisement Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Hi andybarton, Take a look here Yes Mum? . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
leicamann Posted September 18, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 18, 2006 Hmm..uber-exposiert on the grassy area..any "black furred, feathered" creature is difficult to get the exposure right. Thanks for sharing Regards, Leicamann
andybarton Posted September 18, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted September 18, 2006 You're right of course John. But, seeing as the subject matter is the monkey baby rather than the grass, that's the way I chose to present it. The original, out of the can RAW file, has the animals very much darker than this, and this was what I felt to be a reasonable compromise. What I should do, of course, is to use a second layer in PS and tone down the over exposed grass, especially in the foreground. leicamann Posted September 18, 2006 Share #4 Posted September 18, 2006 Ahh there is a way my friend....go to RAW file..... then with your levels bring the monkeys to the appropriate levels...next go to view..history... click open the History panel..then click on the small icon on the left..it will revert the file to its former "darknesss" ...then using the "history brush" scrub off the dark areas on the monkeys and carefull leave the grass alone...do it in small patches so you can reverse any misteps or overlaps. Try that and get back to me Regards, Leicamann
