ChipNovaMac Posted September 19, 2006 Share #41 Posted September 19, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) They assess the risk and charge the premium accordingly don't they? If you're that worried, don't lose it!! At least here in the US, the insured are allowed something like two "losses" in three years before they cancel your policy. I guess I am more sensitive to making a claim against my insurance policy in the days after 9/11/2001. My ex left about $8KUS of my gear behind the back seat of their SUV. Shame is that they left a book bag on the front seat of the SUV. That gave the thieves the opportunity they needed. They had hit pay dirt by digging further in the vehicle. I wonder what would have happened a few weeks ago, when those flying from the UK to the US were forced to check ALL of their baggage. I try to take care of my gear, when I am in charge of my gear, it follows me everywhere. But when I have to put that care to others, that is where I get concerned now. Maybe I am different in trying to keep my insurance rates low. For my up coming trip to the Caribbean, I am trying to keep the liability to a minimum, to a point that I might be willing to accept the loss. Advertisement Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Hi ChipNovaMac, Take a look here Cost no object MP/M7 or M8?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wattsy Posted September 19, 2006 Share #42 Posted September 19, 2006 If cost truly was no object, then MP/M7 + proper drum scans would almost always win the day for me.
