Advertisement Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Hi palmskov, Take a look here girl with flower hair. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
vic vic Posted September 16, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 16, 2006 hi nikolaj- i would prefer the warmer here. looks good and not too warm. but try to improve the contrast - give it depth to the tones. imrove the bright tones. it is too metalic, and towards graphical rendition of tanality. think about some other physical material, like fine cutton cloth and try to give that impression on the tonal range. as always - if u want to make b/w, study real prints (from the darkroom) at least go and watch them in galleries and museums. there are enough of those in copenhagen. look for erica lennard prints or books. she has among the most inspiring prints in b/w. she creates a sense and impression as if the "tones" are substances variating different materials. palmskov Posted September 16, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted September 16, 2006 @Vic: Thanks for the comments and references. Must check out some of Erica Lennard's work. Like I said I was just playing around and wanted a specific look. Here's the original - and a third version which I find much better...
