spylaw4 Posted June 29, 2006 Share #1 Posted June 29, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have tried to upload a personal picture and/or avatar from my computer to my profile but I simply get a message that the upoad has failed. What's going wrong? As far as I can see I have followed the instructions. Ho hum - Now it seems to have worked - retires embarrassed :-) !

ed_oneal Posted June 29, 2006 Share #2 Posted June 29, 2006 What did you do to make it work? I tried several times and had the same experience. Still no luck. Ed
starwatcher Posted June 29, 2006 Share #3 Posted June 29, 2006 1. select "User Avatar" in the Control Panel 2. Simply downsize the photo of your choice according to the restrictions (80 x 80 pixel and 19,5 kb max) 3. store it into a folder on your harddisk and use the "browse" option to select it for upload. 4. Then push the "Save Changes" button underneath and it should work... best - Klaus
george + Posted June 29, 2006 Share #4 Posted June 29, 2006 It seems to say that the upload failed no matter what. But it did not. Better than the other way around I guess.
pinetar Posted June 29, 2006 Share #5 Posted June 29, 2006 Do you understand how to make the image smaller (80x80) pixels? I just placed an image into my avatar successfully. bill Posted June 30, 2006 Share #6 Posted June 30, 2006 I can't get mine to upload either. Same error message? Regards, Bill
george + Posted July 1, 2006 Share #7 Posted July 1, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Bill, you will indeed get the error message. But - most likely - you will find that the avatar/picture is actually uploaded. At least that is what I found.
