Telecentric Posted May 19, 2008 Share #4  Posted May 19, 2008 hi there - thankyou ver much for your reply. just two more questions. 1. this will definitely fit the lense on my digilux3? 14-50 d lens 2. is there any hotshoe adapter i need?  thanks again ben  Question 1 - I had a look on the Panansonic support site Compatibility Information for DMC-L1K | Compatibility | Digital Camera | Product Support | Support | Panasonic Global for the Lumix DMC-L1 (their version of the Digilux 3) and they state:  "(*5) Due to the mechanical mounting requirements and physical dimensions of the lens, this Ring Flash cannot be used with the DMC-L1K's stock lens. The body of the DMC-L1K is compatible to the flash interface and can be used with other lens. We suggest you contact the manufacturer of the lens you intend to use it with, to determine compatibility."  So I would expect that the ring flash can be used on the Digilux 3 body, but not with the standard 14-50mm f2.8-3.5 lens.  Question 2 - the ring flash system comes with its own controller that sits in the standard hotshoe, so no adaptor is needed.
