Thanks in advance  I think the reason for using AC power is battery may run out of power before the upgrade is done, assuming that you don't suffer power outage while using the AC power. d_lague Posted May 14, 2008 Share #3 Â Posted May 14, 2008 I assume they are just being extra cautious that the power does not run out. If the battery is fully charged you will not have a problem. To be safe keep the charger plugged in. Â I think I did mine with just the battery it is not a long process.
