Hey guys.

Currently my M8 has been MIA while being shipped to me.

Long story short, it never should have been shipped to me,

I turned in my camera in Paris at Maison du Leica,

they were suppse to get it to me before I left, but didn't

now they were suppose to ship it and claim they did

but it has been three weeks since my camera was fixed and

has been on its way to me.

I have been asking for a tracking number for over a week but

no one is telling me

(including customer.service@leica-camera.com)

This is disturbing when a price of a small used car is lost between

the borders.

I believe the contact person regarding my camra is

Frau/Frauin Sonja Becker

do any of you know what the best way to get to her?

Please PM me some info.

Thanks

I've been having similar problems with Leica Solms...

- m7 with broken shutter sent FedEx from Israel - quoted turnaround time 3 weeks.

- 3 weeks later, they haven't started work.

- When it is finally finished (after 8 weeks), it is agreed that the camera will be FedExed back to Israel as they are in posession of the exit papers and will facilitate customs.

- After a few days, still no sign of the camera.

- Call the contact in Solms, at which point I'm told that they "decided" to send the camera Deutsche Post EVEN THOUGH we'd agreed to send it FedEx.

- Tracking number given does not work and the camera is MIA.

I thought the Germans were supposed to be efficient, not incompetent!
