rvincent Posted June 29, 2006 Share #1 Posted June 29, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I normally only shoot b&w film, leaving color to digital. I have, however, 4 rolls of Velvia that I need to scan. I use Vuescan and a KM Scan Dual IV. My initial efforts have produced images with a severe magenta cast, and I am having trouble getting the color balance correct. If anyone has a workflow to suggest, I would be very appreciative. leicamann Posted June 29, 2006 Share #2 Posted June 29, 2006 Its late..I'll post something tomorrow.... one thought..B&H does have a "Velvia" Target slide... you might want to order one and I can help you out through the color issues.. Also..do you use SilverFast AI? Cheers, JRM

stunsworth Posted June 29, 2006 Share #4 Posted June 29, 2006 Robert, one quick suggestion, if you've selected 'slide film' as the media try selecting 'Image' instead. Also try playing around with the colour options - try 'Neutral'
erl Posted June 29, 2006 Share #5 Posted June 29, 2006 I always select 'generic' film type rather than using the supplied profiles. Works almost perfectly for me with VueScan.
