ajthornbury Posted April 29, 2008 Share #1 Posted April 29, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Had a funny hick up on my D2 yesterday. On switching off, the camera shut down as per normal, but the leica Logo stayed on the screen. The only way to switch it off was by removing the battery. Camera seems to be working OK since. Any one had similar experience.

Any one had similar experience. i have not had anything similar on my D2. maybe when you shut it down it was in the middle of writing to the sd or you were changing it (either intentionally or not) from shooting to reviewing) inasmuch as a digital camera is a highly specialized computer sometimes its circuits get scrambled (that is a technical term ) i would not fret about it unless it happens again. ajthornbury Posted April 29, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted April 29, 2008 Thanks lazaruz, no it wasn't writing to a card at the time. It has been working fine ever since. it just struck me as odd that the main switch didn't turn it off. Yes processors can go off at a tangent sometimes.
