gesper Posted April 15, 2008 Share #1 Posted April 15, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know how many 35mm negatives each row of the Epson V700/V750 negative holder holds (i.e, is it five negatives per each of the four rows or six negatives)? Thanks.
Advertisement Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Hi gesper, Take a look here Epson V700 Negative Holder. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Odyssey1812 Posted April 15, 2008 Share #2 Posted April 15, 2008 Hi Gesper, The Epson V700 flatbed scanner comes with 5 holders. The first is flat for scanning prints. The second holds 2 4x5" negs (I think), the third holds 120 negs, the fourth appears to hold 35mm slides. The 35mm slide holder (looking at it as 8" of height by 11" of length) has 3 rows, each holding 4 slides. The fifth holder is for 35mm negative strips. In the same orientation, has 3 rows and in each row, it appears that you can fit in 6 shots on the strip. I haven't confirmed this in action because I haven't used it to scan 35mm stuff (I use the 5400 for that). Physically it appears that way when I line up a 35mm neg film strip. Hope this helps. Wing. roguewave Posted April 15, 2008 Share #5 Posted April 15, 2008 wls, I bought this scanner for my wife. She is digitizing thousands of her pics from the kids, dogs.... I hab\ve used this 4 strip holder, but it seems difficult keep the strips in place & aligned well. Do you have a method or strategy that works well? In particular, those "clamps in the middle are not worthy and often pop out. Thnaks, Ben
Guest wls.shanghai Posted April 16, 2008 Share #6 Posted April 16, 2008 Ben, the EPSON V700 35mm negativ film holder is rather primitive, I don´t really have any special method or strategy. I always make sure that my negative-strips are flat and do not curl or twist. Thus, it becomes easier. I´m sorry that I cannot give you any better advice. I´ve been looking for a better 35mm film holder for my V700 really long time. I hope to find one. regards to NYC wls
