adam b Posted April 11, 2008 Share #1 Posted April 11, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently bought a used Noctilux. I'm loving it, even though it takes some getting used to. However, when I mount it on my m8 it never makes that 'click' sound. On my m6 it does click into place. My other lenses click into place on the m8. Is this something I should be concerned about? It performs perfectly, and I have no focus issues. Thanks.
Advertisement Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Hi adam b, Take a look here m8, noctilux lens mount. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
gylee Posted April 11, 2008 Share #2 Posted April 11, 2008 I would not worry about it. None of my lenses click into place as positively on my M8 as they do on my MP. One of the first things I noticed. G.
Arif Posted April 14, 2008 Share #3 Posted April 14, 2008 I would get the camera checked else you may have an unlocked lens which could fall. Mine does seem to click in place fine but I do not have an MP to compare against (only the M6 and M7). Best regards, Arif

The other thing to look for is if the locking level on the body protrudes above the lens mount. The lever is a little flexible and can be moved up a little with a very tiny screwdriver. I had to do this on an M5 where none of my lenses would click in. Now it's perfect. But I hesitate to tell anyone to do this themselves. Get it looked at.
