Extrabroker Posted April 7, 2008 Share #1 Posted April 7, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anybody knows whether the black Leica Mooly comes with an arm? I saw one without the arm and the owner insists that Black Leica Mooly never came with the arm! I am skeptical about what he said though.

Philippe D. Posted April 7, 2008 Share #2 Posted April 7, 2008 Hi. Anybody knows whether the black Leica Mooly comes with an arm?No arm ! "The motor for the IIIc did not need the pole connecting the shutter button with the motor as in Leica IIIa or IIIb. The motor was directly connected to the camera internally. It is finished in black paint." c.f. Shinichi Nakamura's "Leica Collection" book, page 21. ISBN 4-257-03303-7 See also "Leica - A history..." from P-H van Hasbroeck, page 130. Extrabroker Posted April 8, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted April 8, 2008 So it seems that the black paint Mooly only has internal linkage and no arm. I am seeing less and less of Mooly nowdays for sale, especially those with arms,
