dotandcom Posted April 5, 2008 Share #21 Posted April 5, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) On reading William's and Tim's posts above re the necessity for Mac users to have a machine with the new Intel processor (which I don't) and OS X 10.5 (which I do) I checked the Adobe site and found release notes that state the following: Macintosh [requirements] Processor: PowerPC® G4, G5, or Intel-based Mac OS: Mac OS X 10.4 or Mac OS X 10.5 RAM: 1 GB Hard Disk: 1 GB of available hard-disk space Media: CD-ROM drive Display: 1024 x 768 Monitor Resolution My understanding of that is that my G4 Powerbook should be sufficient. It seems also that OS X 10.4 is supported. Have I missed something elsewhere on the site? I suppose the only acid test is to download it, which I'll try. All the best, Chris

All the best, Chris AFAIK you need an intel processor and Leopard (10.5) to run in 64 bit mode. Perhaps that's the confusion?
