Jamie Roberts Posted September 10, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 10, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I'm sure this has been answered before, but I can't seem to search the term "DMR" with the forum search engine (which is a little odd)... Anyway, is there a backup battery in the DMR for things like the clock or your menu preferences? Yes, I read the manual, and it says something like "if the DMR hasn't been used for a long time, you might have re-set the clock" (words to that effect, anyway). What it doesn't say is that all your other settings--histo, ISO, push, display time and so on--are also reset! I notice than when I'm draining a battery at an event and I get a little lull, the camera will shut down, then when it powers up all settings are gone! Is there no little lithium battery in the DMR or camera somewhere where it can store settings? Do I need to do something to keep this thing from resetting itself? Thanks in advance! Advertisement Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Hi Jamie Roberts, Take a look here DMR system settings: no backup battery?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
robsteve Posted September 11, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 11, 2006 Jamie: This is susally a problem with new DMR. I don't know if there is an internal cell that needs to charge, but it will get better with time.
