Have been shooting with M's for sometime and recently bought a used CL as a take everywhere camera.Had it overhauled, cleaned, lubricated and meter calibrated.

After a week using only this I must say what great camera it is.

Small, light, superb metering and ergonomics (shutter speed wheel) and a very, very good lens.

As a back up or if it needs to be light and compact, a great combo.

I am sure there are lots of them around being hardly or not used at all..if you see one up for sale I can only suggest grab it with both hands...

regards

Andy

I'm sure it's been said many times, many ways, &c, but the CL is in its way -- with its 40 cron & 90 elmar -- quite as much a classic as most other Leica M mounts, and it just grows on you the more you use it. Little wonder it eroded sales of the more expensive M edition of its day.

I have an interesting (almost weird looking) chrome 135 Hektor I sometimes use on mine, esp with a table tripod, just for the unique look & feel of it; the fotos are fine, too, in spite of the supposed focus problemata.

I don't need another CL, certainly (I don't need most of what I have, as far as that goes), but it would doubtless be hard to pass up a good deal on one, anyway, or even a pretty good or a nearly pretty good deal . . .
