hiphop Posted March 24, 2008 Share #1 Posted March 24, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) There is a problem with the version 1.4 and Adobe is asking to remove the version 1.4 and to come back to previous version 1.3.1. (please see : Lightroom Journal: Important Lightroom 1.4 and Camera Raw 4.4 Update I did follow the intructions given by Adobe for the removal of the version 1.4 and ended up with a problem : when trying to install version 1.3.1 the mac is coming up saying that the installation is not possible as there is an earlier version of Lightroom ?? Strange... and frustrating. I was not able to use anymore Lightroom and decided to activate Time Machine to come back before the removal. Many thanks to Time Machine which take me back to the version 1.4. I am not happy at all with Adobe as you can imagine. Pierre-Olivier
Advertisement Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Hi hiphop, Take a look here Warning - Lightroom version 1.4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest WPalank Posted March 24, 2008 Share #2 Posted March 24, 2008 Pierre Olivier, Beside deleting the application, did you follow this step as well? "Delete the following file: Library/Receipts/Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.pkg " Remember there are two Libraries, one on your hard disk and the second under User (you). I'm on a mac and surprisingly had no problem. It didn't even ask me for my serial number on the re-install. Cheers!
