DavidStone Posted March 18, 2008 Share #2 Posted March 18, 2008 I need suggestion that Tri Elmar can be used on M2 with finder.Abhinava Assuming that you mean the 28-35-50 Tri-Elmar, no problem, all you need is a 28mm external finder. The 35 and 50 are built in to the M2. I use the Voigtlander finder. It works very well. David
john_newell Posted March 18, 2008 Share #3 Posted March 18, 2008 Mine works great on my 1971 M4 (w/ accessory finder 28mm), my M6 and my M3 (needs accessory finders, though). What I bought it for was the R-D1 - wish that had automatic finder selection!
thomasw_ Posted March 19, 2008 Share #4 Posted March 19, 2008 I find the entire M2 VF is an accurate representation of the 28mm focal length, so that a 28mm external finder is unnecessary, especially when I wear contact lenses. YMMV, of course, but it is worth a try; some have suggested covering the corrogated window, which blocks the framelines, to get a clean frame for the 28 focal length's field of view.
