My L1 operates fine with the Leica 14 -50 kit lens and I can turn it on with the adapter and an R lens installed, but when I push the exposure button nothing happens. Because the R lens has no electrical connection to the L1 body, the camera interprets that no lens is attached. Be sure to have upgraded your L1 to firmware 2.0, that way the focus confirmation light will work with your R lens also. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Again thanks for such fast assistance.Harris  I have used the 100mm f/2.8 macro Elmarit which turns into an equivalent of a 200mm. It's a nice combo but any R lens is nice to use.
