Where to service an M3 No. 91****

I am new to this Forum and have enjoyed reading the posts.

I could not find a Thread that gave recommendations on where to service an M3

with a jammed shutter curtain and pealing vulcanite.

This camera has had heavy personal use for 50 years to the point of wearing out the original leather case. Otherwise the camera is in very good condition.

It was serviced by Leitz, New Jersey in 1991 where they changed the two stroke to one stroke.

Suggestions will be very much appreciated.

I have used Sherry Krauter's services for both an M4-2 and a Leitz-Minolta CL, not to mention my R9, and could not be happier with the results. I have also had the pleasure of meeting her in person, and she is a great person.

Sherry or Don . Be prepared for 3 month wait. CLA is about $300 + parts +

 

if you want new cover applied .

 

Either will do an estimate by E-mail. Sherry is especially fun to talk to, but don`t tie her up as she has work to do.
