Strange lines in my images

Ben,

I'd say there is a lot of dirt, including a hair in that lens. Perhaps the dirt is on your sensor, as the spots are pretty sharp. The hair could be somewhere, where it moves during the shot. It just looks like a moving hair/piece of lint/etc.

Shoot the blue sky with an aperture value of 16 or smaller, focus set to infinity. Should you be able to catch so much sky (with a 19mm you`ll need plenty :D, maybe you find something better to shoot), you`ll be horrified. As Marco pointed out: Serious spring-cleaning needed!

Ben,

are you sure the senor doesn;t need cleaining ? or the area in and around the lens mount .....

Are the lines in every shot.... same or different places? does it move if you hold the camera portrait vs landscape..

it really looks like dust or hair somewhere between the front element and the sensor

Ben,

Before just bringing it back to a dealer if you can drive over to leica NJ in Allendale they will take a look at the camera & DMR & lens while your waiting. Based on what they see they can either fix it on the spot or address as needed. the couple hour trip could save you weeks....

you don't even need an appointment -- just stop by
