D Carter Posted March 1, 2008 Share #2 Posted March 1, 2008 Is it me or is the SF24D a very 'snug' fit on the MP? I thought mine was until I noticed that the locking nut has to be fully backed off to retract the locking pin from the hot shoe.
magd0328 Posted March 2, 2008 Share #3 Posted March 2, 2008 I have the same with my M6 - very stiff to attach. But that is better than very loose, for sure. A question, though: the flash doesn't seem to slide all the way into the hotshoe, but is held from the front by a small screw at the front of the hotshoe. The screw looks to be where the locking pin should be if the flash could slide right to the front. Do I need to remove this screw when using a flash, or would the hotshoe fall off if I did that? Just curious, really, as the flash works fine as it is.
MPerson Posted March 2, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted March 2, 2008 I thought mine was until I noticed that the locking nut has to be fully backed off to retract the locking pin from the hot shoe. No, it is still snug with the pin fully retracted.
