Guest tvleeskr Posted February 24, 2008 Share #1 Posted February 24, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thiese pictures where taken near Lelystad, Flevoland NL. Reclaimed land east of Amsterdam, near the Oostvaardersplassen, a rather unique but closed wild life reserve. The otter refuge is in between a reserve and a zoo. The otter was found in someone's backyard. He kept it as a pet, which is illegal. The otter is quite happy with its lunch! Otters are lively creatures, nose is sharp though but I would have liked the eyes to be sharp as well... The small swan just took a hike(?) from the reserve and is not very common here. Had some lunch as well. The grass and frozen water pics where taken with a M8 - 90mm Elmarit, the animals with a Lumix FZ50 with a Panasonic 1,7 tele conversion lens bringing the Vario Elmarit lens to a handsome 715mm f6. Nice cooperation between Leica and Panasonic. Frozen water is a full color picture, I just increased the contrast a little. (How do I move this to Wildlife??? Oh well, had to 'travel'to get there)

Dantist Posted February 26, 2008 Share #2 Posted February 26, 2008 Nice pics, indeed ! Good tones and mood. Have been living 2 years (1999-2001) in Lelystad (Kamp quarter). Had tulips front and back of the house, but no camera at this period. Lots of birds and wildlife around. And 3 bikes only for myself, mainly to take rides to Urk, a tiny and lovely shippermen's village, in the south right corner of Zuiderzee
