The one you want is the Elmarit 2.8 for best overall performance in a vintage lens.

The last "thin" Tele Elmarit. has the rear lens cell problem, soft at 2.8, soft less than 5 feet which does not improve on stopping down , Not much bigger than a 50 mm 2.0.

The lens head comes off on the Elmarit for visoflex work where it excells close and far.

A good copy of the thin out performs a good version of the fat. Typical of the Mandler designed lenses.

I now use the plain Elmarit for viso work, 50 2.8 last version for travel and most work, 90 4.0 Elmar last version for the same as the 50 2.8. Third version Summicron for F2, a very nice Summarit for 1.5.

The last 90 4.0 collapsible is sharp wide open, close up or far. Stop down for debth of field only. The first coll from 1955 needs to be at 5.6 to be sharp, however it is a masterpiece of German craftsmanship. My copy is factory fresh.

The only one I no longer own is the first version 90 2.8 Tele Elmarit.
