bazza1_0 Posted February 16, 2008 Share #1 Posted February 16, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Can anyone help me identify this Leica? My research of the serial Nr 145416 has been a bit confusing. I aquired it from my grandfather who was in the French Navy prior to and during WW2. Its said that he also worked for French intelegence. The lense has a serial Nr 121117, Leitz Hektor, 1:4,5 F - 13,5. Any help would be great. Barry

fuchs Posted February 17, 2008 Share #4 Posted February 17, 2008 ??? must be 1:2.5 f 5,0 cm No, he means the 135mm/4.5 Hektor, correctly labelled in pre-1960's fashion 1:4,5 f=13,5cm: the first figure being the relative aperture of the lens, and the second one after the "f=" being the focal length in cm Cheers,
