The red car on pole - top right - is Derek Hill's 1953 Alfa Romeo CM which easily beat the C type Jaguars. Johnny Herbert - he of recent Formula 1 fame - came fourth after some hairy moments in an Austin Healey 100S - next to the Alf on the front row.
