Advertisement Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Hi leicamann, Take a look here Can't open th battery section on my R8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted February 10, 2008 Share #2 Posted February 10, 2008 Hi John, there's no door. With the lever pushed forward the grip on that side of the camera slides downwards to give access to the battery compartment. This can be a little stiff sometimes. leicamann Posted February 10, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted February 10, 2008 Steve. I still don't get it..where ta heck does it open?..Grip the sides of the camera..so its the bottom cover with the zigzag shape that opens?..the whole thing slides off?.what actually opens? Im stumped..I have no idea what opens and the users manual is as good as useless Thanks JRM
stunsworth Posted February 10, 2008 Share #4 Posted February 10, 2008 The plastic grip at the front of the camera slides down. The whole piece slides down from the zigzag at the bottom of the camera up to the strap eyelet - that doesn't move by the way. If that's still not clear let me know and I'll post a photograph showing the pieces in question.
