cocker Posted February 8, 2008 Share #1 Posted February 8, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, Does anyone (particularly I guess our Dutch members) have experience of Schouten Select. I am looking for a nice 2.8 Rolleiflex and stumbled across them. They have a couple of cameras which look in very nice condition but their prices seem very high! Any comments on how they are to deal with? thanks

Hans Roggen Posted February 8, 2008 Share #3 Posted February 8, 2008 They are ok. I ordered a 21 mm elmarit M hood once. Exactly as they described and fast service. However, i don't think they are very cheap. Hans
j. borger Posted February 8, 2008 Share #4 Posted February 8, 2008 I bought a lot of stuff from Marco, He is expensive ,,,, BUT all lenses i bought from him were even better than described. His ratings are on the conservative side ..... which is good ... no nasty surprises. Very honest, reliable and pleasant to deal with.
Ivar B Posted February 8, 2008 Share #5 Posted February 8, 2008 Yes, I think this is correct. Prices on the high side, perhaps, but accurate descriptions and good quality equipment. You get what you pay for.
diegocentrico Posted February 9, 2008 Share #6 Posted February 9, 2008 Marco Shouten is a perfect seller . 3 years ago I bought the mythic Summicron-M 35mm IV type (silver chrome version) as new with box, papers and leather case. Of course it was really "as new"! Bye Diego

stunsworth Posted February 9, 2008 Share #8 Posted February 9, 2008 Keith, if you do find a 2.8 Rolleiflex I'm sure you'll love it. I bought one a couple of years ago, it's currently with a friend in Germany - gives me an excuse to drive over there to collect it later this year <grin>. They really are a classic, and seem to hold their prices well - I guess collectors aren't just limited to Leicas.
