I have 3 of this lens one in M mount two in Screw one of them is engraved Taylor Taylor and Robins, all in mint condition, not so easy to find because they are very good lens and owners do not want to leave them. have to try them with the M8 .... I think the issue is finding a decent one. The coatings are super soft so try to find a E41 filter and the proper shade. Leita E41 are not double threaded so you can not use a screw in shade when it is on . Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

They cleaned up nicely, and the "before and after" results were a world apart. I think the "disparaged" part comes from internal haze that tends to build up on the older Leitz lenses. I use a Series VI adapter with my M-Mount Summarit, a Tiffen #611. It is easier to find Series VI filters than it is to find native Summarit filters.
